The sweeping tariffs imposed by the current administration in early 2025 have significantly impacted the economy, particularly small businesses. Across the country, we’re seeing rising prices, delayed shipments, shrinking profit margins, and even closures. These disruptions compound existing financial pressures, such as escalating operating costs, and disproportionately affect those least equipped to absorb the impact. While large corporations can often endure these shifts with deep pockets, small businesses cannot. Additionally, in this moment of rapid policy change, small businesses need consistency, not uncertainty.

Responding to this urgent need, Youth Voice for Small Business launched a petition on April 14, 2025, calling for immediate relief and targeted policy support to shield small businesses from the negative effects of these tariffs.
